I know Pabst owns it now, but I would like to know more about Pearl. It has been a Hill Country standard for eons. My grandfather drank (and still drinks when you can get it) Pearl, as well as my father and myself. Everywhere here in Austin is some kind of Pearl paraphanalia. Why has Pearl dropped off? I've been in California for two years. When I left you could buy a six pack of fat boys for 2.50. Now all you can get are long necks (if they have them) for $5. Or a 12 pack of Pearl Lite for $6, in cans no less. Regular Pearl is great. Lite is trash. So where can I get some info on the beer from the land of a thousand rivers? (Date added: 3/25/98) |
