Comments

LOcated in the original Ortleib's Brewery in an "urban renewal" distric of Philadelphia, This brewery/brewpub is a diamond in the rough. While the service sometimes leaves a bit to be desired, the beer is generally top-notch. They brew about 12 different offerings at a time, with a number of seasonal beers coupled with about eight regulars. The food is brepub style and pretty good overall. Might be the best Philly brewpub. Next winter you've got to try thr Chocolate Cherry Stout. Brewed with real cherries, a true super premium beer. Henry Ortleib is also a personable guy, who obvioulsy loves the industry. (Date added: 6/5/98)

25,000 bbl Microbrewery & Brewpub. Located in bottling works of old Ortlieb Brg Co. Family owned, but Stroh's owns Ortlieb brand name, and won't sell. Very attractive brew pub, but no customers due to off beaten path location. Geared for large scale commercial accounts and bottling (Awesome Ale, Old Stock Lager). Opened June, '97 (Date added: 8/28/97)
