The Fallen Timbers Red is the best. I also greatly enjoyed the Wee Bock and Java Stout (Date added: 6/9/98) Brewmaster is now Ric Herrold Assistant brewer Phillip Pollock Brewery serves Buckeye Boys Blonde, Fallen Timbers Red, Broadway Pale Ale, Boyer Brown plus two rotational specialty beers for a total of six on tap at all times. Major Oliver's Stout was outstanding. I asked if they could pull me a black and tan and was informed that it was not possible ---- they said that the two beers would mix --- waitress said that the beer lines wer under too much pressure. I asked if they knew how to use a spoon to slow down the force of the second layer of beer and she looked at me as though I was from another planet. Good beer --service left a lot to be desired!!! (Date added: 2/8/98) Great place. Atmosphere was incredible. Adjacent game room was a nice feature, but needed some attention. Super place! They offered seven brew each an excellent example of type. Food was great! Service was knowledgeable and friendly. "High Level Lager" may have been the best, but the Oktoberfest was equally fine. Try the sampler and go from there. Full menu available upstairs. Happy hour, in the cigar-friendly downstairs bar, had great complimentary snacks! Don't miss this place!!! (Date added: 9/21/97) Interesting selection of regular and seasonal brews changes frequently. Glass City Pale Ale tops anything I've had. Rarely on the menu (hint, hint), Major Oliver's Stout is a real treat. Open and airy upstairs dining room. A large corporate parking lot interferes somewhat with the view, but the Maumee River makes a nice backdrop. For first-time visitors, the sampler is a must. (Date added: 9/8/97) One of the best beers I have tasted, but service is understaffed. If it's busy, forget having a beer in front of you at all times. (Date added: 5/12/97) |
