This is by far the best brewpub that I have been to.
After driving thought downtown Cleveland during the Air Show ever see 4 F-16 flying around skyscrapers it is someting to see. Well we got there just before the Indians game got out. And the Beer here is some if not the best american beer that I have ever tasted. The Edmund Fitzgreald porter was by far the best. I just wish I could get some here in Michigan. The standard by which all other micros are measured. Consistant fine quality in all featured brews. Great location in Cleveland. EXCELLENT!!!! (Date added: 4/17/98)

Usually great beer at this Cleveland landmark. No holds barred brews that if anything, tend to be a little overhopped. (This from a hophead!) Good year-round brews and wide range of seasonals including some Belgian styles. Will have to see if current brewery expansion will impact quality. Food better than average. Pub area very small and usually (too) crowded.

One of our must stops in Cleveland. Try a walk through the West Side Market then lunch and a pint or two. Haven't had a bad--even a mediocre--brew there yet. The Belgian Grand Cru on tap now (9-8-97) is exquisite. Burning River's crispness makes it an excellent summertime thirst quencher. (Date added: 9/8/97)

Having only been to a few microbreweries this has to be the best one yet. Besides having a large variety of very unique beer and everything from light to stout.
It is set in great spot in Cleveland's market place. The antique beer paraphinalia was great to look at and the friendliness of the staff could not be beat. Steve (our bartender with a great english accent) served us the sampler and showed us the right way to drink them in what order. Great Place a must see... (Date added: 8/28/97)

"Currently Building a 100,000 barrel brewery accross the street from it's current location.

This is a great place in a cool old building in the fun marketplace part of town. It has a nice little patio/beer garden on one side. All of the brews are substantial and nicely done. The atmosphere was very friendly when I was there. Granted, it wasn't busy during my mid-afternoon visit, but after asking my server a couple of questions about the brewery I found myself being treated to a private tour. And when I expressed dissappointment because the porter was unavailable, I received a pint of my second choice for free! Don't miss it if your in Cleveland.
