Good food. Good beers, try to stop in during the summer when you can dine on the patio (Date added: 2/5/98) The beers are excellent at this large brewpub/restaurant. The Boarding House Ale and Oatmeal Stout are excellent overall. The India Pale Ale tends to have an off aftertaste, but is still good nonetheless. The raspberry wheat, when they have it, has got to have the strongest raspberry flavor of any raspberry beer out there. You can smell the raspberries at the other end of the bar when it's being poured. If you like a fruity beer, then this is the beer for you. For me it almost borders on raspberry Kool-Aid. I enjoyed it as a refresher after a softball game, but I could only tackle one. After that the sweetness is too fierce for me. The food is superb here! The portions are large, and the food is fantastic. Definately the best food of all the local brewpubs around Boston that I've been to. (Date added: 6/2/97) |
