The beers are incredible! John Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Copperhead Ale, Ad Astra Ale and their seasonals are worth checking out.

As a local that frequents all of the area brewerys whenever possible I must say that this is the cream of the crop!! The food, service and especially beers are always excellent. They really go out on a limb with specialty beers, making belgians, barleywines, imperial stouts,hefeweizens and others too many to mention. All very much to style guidelines and with great success. Good beer, good atmosphere, a menu that goes well with beer.
My favorite was the copperhead pale ale. We've had some terrific food and beer here and the price for both is very reasonable. A must for anyone traveling west on I-70, and, in my experience the best brewpub in the metropolitan Kansas City area. (Date added: 5/5/97)
